Vintage Collectible Beer Cans

We have been collecting, buying, trading, finding, and curating mid-late 20th-century beer cans for, well, forever. It all started with the remnants of an old family collection dating back to the late 1960s, but it did not stop there. Now, we have something to do with them all: The Regionals Collectible 6 Pack! We mix and match prime collectible combinations based on regional themes and breweries, and then pass them on to you for $24-30 each based on the condition of the cans (shipping + tax extra). Now, we realize that is a tad pricey for an ordinary 6-pack. But these are no ordinary 6-packs. These are the best and most unique cans from the vintage era of beer can collecting. Our inventory revolves around the solid metal “3-piece” tab-tops of the ‘60s / ’70s, most sporting aluminum tops by that point. These cans can be identified by thick distinctive seams, themselves having been reduced over time in order to provide more full-wrap brand designs. But that said, we will mix in the more distinctive stand-out thinner wall aluminum cans of the mid-late ‘70s and early ‘80s when full wrap designs became the mainstay—and—stay-tabs finally replaced the littering nightmare that was the pull-off tab. On occasion we will even drop in the rare mid-century all-steel flat-top, back when you had to earn your cold refreshing brewskie: opening that sucker with a can opener!

And with that we proudly present: The Regionals Collectible Beer Can 6-Packs!

MID-ATLANTIC / ATLANTIC SOUTH / THE MIDWEST / MID-AMERICA.

A collection of colorful cans from a host of regions with names at the very top of the alphabet. But we do not root year in and year out for our favorite beers, while we tend to live and die with our favorite teams. Of course, beer and brewery ads have been with baseball almost from the start (with perhaps a brief respite in between amendments XVIII and XXI). Their ubiquitous connection makes it often seem like, maybe, beer should sub out "apple pie" in the old saying? And if only because that old saying contains baseball. The historical relation of beer and baseball has also been brought along by local breweries building up the hometown team. In this first of our baseball 6-packs, we collect many series of specialty cans put out for National League teams: Cincinnati's Hudepohl celebrating the "Big Red Machine" Reds of the mid-70s, Pittsburgh's Iron City long known for their novelty Pennsylvania / Pittsburgh sports collectible cans, and the American Brewers Historical Collection of the late 70s-early 80s—these 2 cans under the name of another once famous Pennsylvania brewery, Valley Forge—the great "Casey's Lager" series of vintage baseball legends, Duke Snider of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Monte Irvin of the New York Giants representing.

Casey's Lager Beer: Duke Snider
(American Brewers Historical Collection)
Valley Forge Brewing Company (C.
