A multi-generational sports card collection was not something that just happened overnight. It was put together trade-by-trade, pack-by-pack. It took youthful optimism, chewing many hard sticks of bubble gum (that were definitely not recommended by 9 out of 10 dentists), and a lot of luck. That is the collection we inherited, to the tune of over 10K cards. And that nostalgic take on the value of sports cards led us down a different path when it came time to pass along this unique collection. Instead of maximizing return on each card, we chose to maximize the satisfaction of getting these cards into the hands of fans. We do not sell individual cards, but sort cards by team. Our “packs” (all Topps unless noted) average 20-40 +/- cards per team across several year-ranges (aligned with the collection itself: mid 1960s - mid 1980s). All standard cards go for 25¢ each. Notable stars, or “Premiere Picks” get 1 of 5 premium price-tag grades from $12 (the Nolan Ryans, the Reggie Jacksons) down to $1, based on condition, player notability, and going rates. Each “Premiere Pick” is stored and shipped in a rigid individual Ultra•Pro® toploader card case, with the rest of the pack in a hard shell plastic case. These packs will arrive to you at a below market-value price-tag. Now, we admit not all the older cards (1960s - early 1970s) were treated well, this being the age of “flipping” for cards and card mistreatment perpetrated in other heinous ways. (Cards in bicycle spokes?!) But by the time the collection hits the late 1970s, most cards are in “near-mint” condition.

* These cards have not been PSA® graded; but we followed their industry-standard sports card numbered grading system to gauge conditional values, a step that forced us to reject hundreds and hundreds of cards.
