Delta Air Lines Boston Souvenir Playing Card Deck

The city of Boston, Massachusetts, is featured by this collectible playing card deck distributed through Delta Airlines. Delta did a series of these destination card packs utilizing images of different cities from its travel posters of the time. Before such in-flight entertainments as movies or smartphones, passengers on a long leg of their journeys would often play card games, and the availability of such promotional decks was something of an airline industry standard. Made by Brown and Bigelow company out of St. Paul, Minnesota, this Boston deck has a full color collage design on the backs of the cards and on the front of its pack that highlights historic icons of the New England city, the statue of Paul Revere on his horse and the Old North Church among them. The rest of the packaging is in a gold foil tone with Delta’s “ready when you are” slogan on the sides and its logo printed in all black on the back. This is a bridge-sized, already opened deck, complete with 52 cards and both jokers. [Condition: Used Good. No bent cards. Discoloration on edges from use/age. Package shows some wear.]
