Vintage Itinerary Pack: 12 Items. A fun part of basing our inventory on regions is the ability to highlight all the varying sub-regions within it. Here is a perfect example. The Pacific Northwest evokes such a unique set of interchangeable traits: mountains, rugged coasts, the sea informing the culture, some of the last great wild areas on the continent. And yet, moving up Oregon into Washington and then skipping all the way up to southeast Alaska, there is so much diversity it was hard for us to assemble this single pack from our ephemera collection. As usual, we try to imagine past vacations, business trips, and stops along the way embedded into this super bunch of maps, brochures, and guides. All the Portland, Oregon, specific items were from one lot, a trip clearly taken in the late 1950s; while all the Juneau, Alaska, items were from a different lot: likely multiple trips over two decades. And though all the other items were picked up one-by-one, they all fell together to tell a larger story: a region made up of many unique sub-regions, each worth a visit, each with a story to tell.
