THE MIDWEST.
The Walter brothers originally set up shop in Wisconsin in the late 1800s (including a "satellite" brother who set up his own Walter brewery in Colorado). Multiple generations of Walters kept the Eau Claire operation going into the mid-1970s when mass industry consolidation upended the small, regional, often family-owned American brewing tradition that had long prevailed. The strong steel cans, bold graphics, witty off-brands (Bub's and Old Timer's) as well as their fun sayings ("Beer that is beer" and "Makes it fun to be thirsty") have long made the Walter cans a collector mainstay. And so, in honor of their tradition and wit: "This Bub's For You!"
